The Quality Inn hotel is FULL. Click here for a link to other hotels in NB that you can try and find accomodations. HURRY, most everything in NB will be booked and you will have to drive from either Austin and San Antonio...and I'm a strong believer in NO DRINKING AND DRIVING!! Also, we have reserved the room in Schilo's for lunch in San Antonio for Saturday, Oct. 31. Cost is $15 per person, everything is included in this price, all you will have to pay for is your beer :) I am asking that you send checks, as I will deposit into an account and if you are unable to attend, I will return your check. Send check to:

I will be hosting a Wurstfest Gathering for brats from Berlin and Heidleberg American High Schools. The Wurstfest is a 10 day festival celebrating the German Wurst and all things associated :)

The dates for the Gathering will be Oct. 30-Nov.1,2009 and will be held in New Braunfels, Texas. I have hosted this event in the past and have experienced a turnout of about 20 people. As the Wurstfest is an annual celebration, the small town of New Braunfels fills up fast. I f you plan to attend, I urge you to make your hotel reservations NOW. You can always cancel within 24-48 hours if you know you will not be able to attend.

There will be a hospitality meeting place, as well as a dinner for Friday night, a day on the world famous San Antonio Riverwalk with a lunch included at Schilo's Deli. Breakfast goodies can be found in Naeglins Bakery in downtown New Braunfels, and of course, the Wurstfest, probably the most fun you'll have without the expense of flying to Munich!

I am still in the planning stage of getting deposits and meal costs worked out, but will keep you updated as soon as I know specific costs. Please email me at Roo '73 if you are inerested in attending. I need to have an exact headcount of attendees by Oct.16, 2009.

Hotel rooms will be the responsibility of the attendee(s), but the rest of the cost of the Gathering will be included in one fee yet to be determined. All you will be responsible for is your food and drink at the festival and any other alcohol consumption. Otherswise, just show up and enjoy! Please keep watching for updates. Also, if you are on Facebook, there is a link posted to the Wurstfest Gathering FB site.

Thank you! I hope to see ya'll at the Wurstfest!
