Comments: I'm not actually a student, but a military member who volunteered with the Berlin Brigade Morale Support Activities Division (MSAD) shortly after I arrived in Berlin.
I helped in the Little Theater and worked with Mr. John Pinschmidt (English teacher and drama coach) for BAHS production of "Plaza Suite" in January/February 1981.
I became a teacher myself, and am looking into teaching with DoDDS mainly because of the good experience I had working with the BAHS students.
Anyone out there remember Mr. Pinschmidt or Dr. Huston Jack, the BAHS principal? Any cast members of the 1981 production of "Plaza Suite"?

Comments: I have been going through all the year book.. (Good Times) I miss it alot, In May of this year (2009) I moved to Berlin after receiving my MBA. I went and looked at all the things that used to be and I was shocked to see almost everything gone or destroyed. It's sad to see that the places where I spend my childhood are either gone or just wasting away after being abandoned. I have visited MC Nairs Barracks (Now houses shops,businesses and the McNairs museum), Andrews Barracks (Bundes Archive), BAHS which still looks the same, Dueppel (changed alot) and of course the PX and YA, the YA building is still there but the area where the PX used to be is totally run down as is TAR. Comments: Its funny reading most of these posts...brings back some of my best childhood memories. I never attended BAHS, though I went to TAR elementary school from 78 - 85. I lived in old and new duppel (off Lissabonallee and Lloyd G. Wells Strasse respectively). I remember camping at Rose Range, the Wannsee, the volksfest, playing sports through the DYA/YA, taking school trips to the city of Trier, caddying for my Pops at the Berlin Golf and Country Club, trips on the duty train, bbq's and softball games at TCA, the Ku'damm, learning to swim at the BB pool in the dead of winter (walking from TAR across the street to the indoor swimming facility), standing in a long line at the outpost theatre (now a museum) when E.T. came out...I could do this all day. Anyone remember snowball satellite at AFN? Great memories from a unique era.

Comments: This site brings back so many memories. I came across it while looking for a yearbook, and just happened to google BAHS. To my surprise there it was. I and my two brothers went there from 1979-1981, most people would remember my brothers (curtis aka frosty or twinkie) and my brother John Adkins. They were class of 81, my brother John passed away this past october, and I was looking for memories of our crazy teen years. I found them in the 1980 yearbook. Thanks to who ever put this site together, you have helped heal a broken heart and now I can visit these memories when ever I want to feel better. I had a few of the lifer brats as friends...one was the Command Sgt Maj. daughter, she was blonde and, well had some problems. Also, a tall black haired girl that i met at steak night at the main PX, she was a waitress. I've always wondered what happened to these young ladies.

I lived at 13b Taylor Strasse in Dahlam (quite near the school) from the time I was 10 until just before 16. Like many of you I remember those days quite fondly. I love that city. I played on The Big Hill behind us, roller skated everywhere, even in the basement that ran the entire building. Saturdays were spent at the movie and the teen center and every day was good in the Grunewald. I remember huge company picnics near an obstical course and ... and ... and .... My brother is Mike, a couple years younger than I. We were great friends with the Manos family and have seen them since. I was very shy and withdrawn, but I know I had friends there. Comments: My sister Suzanne Mohamed started me thinking again about Berlin. I have such fond memories of the school and city. I used to live in the 7-story building across the street from the cemetery where Mr. Sullivan is buried. We had a great view being that we lived on the 7th floor. Mark Oliver and Tim Miller lived in the same stairwell. Rick & Rod Bouchard lived in the other one. I have lots of memories. I've been in contact with Mary Webb, Astrid Long, Virginia Kelly, Debbie Olsen, Wally Roberts, and several others. I went to the Ashville, NC reunion and was able to connect with several people. Comments: Would love to reconnect with old friends! I lived in Duppel and rode our Mercedes bus to and from school. I attended 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and my freshmen year in Berlin. I have fond memories of the Wansee, riding bikes through German neighborhoods, excursions to bunkers, tent parties, buying gummies, and so much more. I would like to once more write about myself as below as I might have mistakenly deleted some of the emails you have kindly sent. As one of my companies is related to Web business, I recive more than 1,000 emails a day, and most are automatically received in the respective folders, so the ones I receive in the normal folder are basically not very important ones. I almost deleted Chris's email too. So, would you please write, Berlin American High School or BAHS in the title? My father was Japanese Counsul General in West berline during 1964 to 1967 and I went to 6th Grade up to beginning of 9th Grade in TAR and Berlin American High school.
